Nancy Goslee Power & Associates, Inc. is
a Santa Monica, California based landscape design firm. The firm has
completed landscape projects throughout California as well as many
other regions of the United States, Europe, and Australia.
Nancy Goslee Power & Associates has designed over 150 public and private
gardens including the Sculpture Garden at the Norton Simon Museum
in Pasadena, the Beverly Hills Montage Hotel and Park, the Entrance
Parkway and Site Wide Masterplan for the Los Angeles Arboretum & Botanic
Gardens, and the entry parkway for Universal Studios. The firm has
just completed the Design Development phase of Constellation Park,
a large scale high rise development in Century City, California and
is currently working on the Los Angeles National Veteran’s Memorial
Park. In the past few years the firm has worked on Kidspace in Pasadena,
the first phase of the Grand Avenue Alignment Plan and the plantings
at the Plaza at the Music Center both in time for the opening of Disney
Concert Hall. Many of her gardens have appeared in Architectural
Record, Landscape Architecture, Garden Design,
House & Garden, House Beautiful, Town & Country,
Pacific Horticulture and many other publications.
The firm has recently completed a Conceptual Long Range Plan for the
Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanical Garden. NGPA is currently
working with JMB Realty, Urban Retail Properties Company, and Johnson
Fain Architects on two 47-story tall luxury high rises in Century
City consisting of roof gardens, 7 acres of green space, a private
park and generous public pocket parks. NGPA has worked with architect
Michael Maltzan on the 2 ½ acre garden at Kidspace Museum in Pasadena,
California, a which opened in 2004, and the conceptual Master Plan
for Universal Studios with Office for Metropolitan Architecture/Rem
Koolhaasand Inner City Arts, Phase III.
The work of the firm is complemented and strengthened by collaborations
with architecture firms such as Gehry Partners, OMA/Rem Koolhaas,
Michael Maltzan, Johnson Fain Architects, Frederick Fisher Partners,
Steven Ehrlich Architects, and others.
NGPA also sponsors the ongoing monthly Barn Studio Lecture Series
at her office studio which features experts in horticulture, garden
history, and relevant issues as they relate to pertinent urban issues
and our cultural landscape.
